Electronic Document Archiving

In addition to the solutions for on-site and off-site storage of physical documents, it has become a must to store electronic documents and reach them, when necessary, under certain competences and laws. In this regard, new regulations have been introduced particularly for storage of electronic invoices.

e- Archive legislation

Having entered into force by Tax Procedural Law General Communique No. 433, e-Archive is an application for issuance, preservation, submitting and reporting of invoices electronically in accordance with the standards established by the Revenue Administration.

The taxpayers willing to make use of e-Archive application are firstly required to sign up in the e-Invoice application.

The taxpayers who have obtained the permission for issuance and preservation of invoices electronically under Electronic Invoice Recording System must launch e-Archive application before a deadline, not later than 01/04/2015, to be informed to them by the Revenue Administration in writing.

The taxpayers who sell commodities and services on internet and whose income table for 2014 has 5 million gross sales revenue and more must launch e-Archive application until 01/01/2016 at the latest.

e-Archive Service

e-Archive is a new invoicing system by which you will easily issue, preserve and submit your invoices electronically.

Contrary to the general opinion, e-Archive isn’t preservation of invoices electronically; this application is rather submitting of the paper invoices issued electronically and archiving of these invoices, a legal requirement, on electronic environment. Thus, invoicing is performed in the easiest, fastest and most cost-efficient way.

You can either eliminate issuance of paper invoices completely by obtaining customers’ consent or issue the invoices on white paper in printed format. E-Archive application will enable you to give up using pre-printed invoices and complete invoicing process by sending customers e-mail.
